Privacy Policy

Inbox Reset ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, used, stored, and protected when you use the Inbox Reset mobile application.

Google Account Sign-In

Inbox Reset uses Google Sign-In so you can connect a Gmail account. Google may provide basic account information such as your email address, display name, and profile image for authentication and account identification inside the app.

Gmail Data Access

With your permission, Inbox Reset accesses Gmail data through the Gmail API only to provide features you request. Depending on the feature used, this may include:

• Message sender, subject, date, snippet, body, and attachment metadata
• Read or unread status
• Inbox, archive, trash, category, star, importance, and label status
• Your Gmail labels and message search results

Inbox Reset may modify Gmail data only after you choose and confirm an action, such as marking messages read or unread, adding labels, archiving messages, or moving messages to Trash.

How Gmail Data Is Used

Gmail data is used only to display, search, preview, organize, and update your mailbox according to your instructions. Inbox Reset does not use Gmail data for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.

Google API Limited Use

Inbox Reset's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Information Stored on Your Device

Inbox Reset may store app-related information locally on your device, including:

• App preferences and settings
• Saved Cleanups and pinned cleanup preferences
• Recent activity and undo-history records
• Search settings and organization choices
• Connected-account identifiers needed to separate account-specific data

Message previews or related data may be held temporarily while the app is in use. Local app data can be removed by signing out where applicable or deleting the application.

Recovery and Undo Features

To support undo and recovery, Inbox Reset may record the original Gmail labels associated with affected messages and may use recovery labels in your Gmail account. These records are used only to restore changes that you request the app to undo.

Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell, rent, or use your Gmail data for advertising. We do not share Gmail data with third parties except when necessary to provide the app through Google services, comply with applicable law, protect users or the service, or respond to a valid legal request.

Advertising and Analytics

Inbox Reset does not use Gmail content for advertising. At this time, Inbox Reset does not use third-party advertising services or third-party behavioral analytics to track the contents of your email.

Data Security

Inbox Reset uses Google OAuth rather than asking for your Gmail password. Access is limited to the permissions approved during Google Sign-In. We take reasonable steps to protect information used by the app, but no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Remote Images and External Links

Some HTML emails may contain externally hosted images or links. Inbox Reset may block remote images by default until you choose to load them. Opening links or loading remote content may connect you to a third-party service governed by its own privacy policy.

Your Choices and Control

You may:

• Choose whether to connect a Google account
• Review requested Google permissions before granting access
• Sign out of Inbox Reset
• Revoke Inbox Reset's Google access through your Google Account settings
• Delete locally stored app data by uninstalling the application
• Use undo features when available to reverse supported mailbox changes

Revoking access prevents future Gmail access by Inbox Reset. Actions already completed in Gmail may remain until you manually reverse them or use an available undo feature.

Children's Privacy

Inbox Reset is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the application or on this website, together with an updated revision date.

Inbox Reset is designed to help you safely search, preview, label, archive, mark read or unread, and organize messages in your Gmail account.

Before Requesting Help

Please try the following:

• Confirm that you are signed into the intended Google account
• Confirm that Inbox Reset still has Gmail permission
• Refresh the Mailbox or rerun the search
• Check Activity & Undo History after a bulk action
• Restart the app if a screen does not update

Common Questions

Why did a search return no results?
Try removing a keyword, widening the date range, checking the sender spelling, turning off Precise Search, or searching All Mail instead of only the Inbox.

Can Inbox Reset undo changes?
Supported actions may be restored through Activity & Undo History. Undo availability can depend on the action and whether the related Gmail messages or labels have changed since the original cleanup.

Why are remote images hidden?
Remote images may be blocked initially to reduce unwanted tracking. You can choose to load them when viewing a message.

How do I remove access?
Sign out in Inbox Reset and revoke the app's access from your Google Account security settings.
